Powers Hall Academy is a very vibrant, busy community where teaching and learning is exciting, enthusiastic and effective. The positive atmosphere within our school is much commented on by visitors and reflects our aims and ethos. At the heart of this is our passionate belief in Inclusion and the Every Child Matters agenda.
What makes Powers Hall Academy an ‘outstanding school’ [Ofsted 2012], is the continual striving to raise standards and provide the very best possible all round education for our pupils. The dedication and commitment of all adults in the school community is a contributing factor. Leadership and management are exceptionally strong and there is a shared responsibility for the whole school systems and procedures that ensure consistency with teaching and learning.
A particularly pleasing statement in our latest Ofsted report is ‘A calm but determined atmosphere results from the clear vision that has been developed to ensure the best possible opportunities for the pupils.’
The mission statement of Powers Hall Academy is ‘Proud To Succeed’
Our pupils are very active and passionate learners and their behaviour is exemplary. They are proud of who they are, what they achieve in all the different aspects of school life and are proud to celebrate their own and others’ achievements.
I am extremely proud to be headteacher of Powers Hall Academy.
Mrs. Jane Bass
